Do I need any special equipment for my virtual signing? Yes. You’ll need a device with a camera and microphone (preferably a computer), a reliable internet connection, and a smartphone to complete ID verification.
Can you notarize loan documents for out-of-state or international clients? Yes! As a Virginia-commissioned notary, I can serve signers located anywhere in the U.S. or abroad, as long as the notarization complies with Virginia law and your lender or title company allows virtual notarization.
Do all parties have to sign at the same time? Yes. All signers must be present together during the same virtual session, even if they are joining from different locations.
Do you work directly with title companies and attorneys? Yes. I regularly partner with title companies, escrow officers, and estate planning attorneys to provide professional, timely virtual notarization services for their clients.
What platforms do you use for virtual loan signings? I primarily use secure, industry-recognized platforms that meet Virginia’s legal requirements and are accepted by most underwriters. If you have a preferred platform, I’m happy to accommodate whenever possible.
How do you handle signers located outside of the United States? International signers are welcome, as long as they have valid identification and meet Virginia’s ID verification standards. I also provide biometric analysis if KBA is not available, subject to underwriter approval.
How soon can you complete a virtual signing? Appointments can often be scheduled same-day or next-day, depending on availability. I also offer rush appointments for time-sensitive transactions.
